piece

the grass curled, unaware
and flies motored by, unflinching

arrival at a juncture
split and razored in two

the night diffused slowly
blushing corrupted colors
as it sank into a celestial wink
and floundered it's way into oblivion

a metal burr catches in my throat
like a transparent eye, unblinking

flight
is the word my fingers landed on
as i flipped through the book
flight, and then fluency
altruism, and shame
