Dana cancels over TV threat

Israel's transsexual pop star Dana International backed out of German TV show, Always on Sunday, blaming death threats for the cancellation. Record company manager Joachim Uhrig said in a German newspaper that the threats were not the first, adding: "We take these death threats seriously." Dana, known as Yaron Cohen until a sex change operation five years ago, shot to fame last month when she won the Eurovision Song Contest.
