April 2005

Woot!
Cheers to everybody who came to see us in Kitchener and Ottawa. You rock, especially Roger... jeez, that Rush 30-year anniversary tour baseball uniform was the best! We are now demanding either 1 - pool tables with only one cue ball - or 2 - authentic bar mix available for our rider from now on... kidding. We had a lot of fun. Taking a little breather this month. Getting down to some mixing, which could take awhile - we recorded a whole album's worth of music at the Kitchen Sync back in February. Our next show will be the Vulcan Dub Squad's CD release at Rancho Relaxo on May 19th. It's gonna be a good time! Afterwards, we'll be playing a few select shows in Toronto over the summer and hitting the road as much as we can. Come the fall, our first record (yet to be named) will drop in some form - we're not sure about the format yet but we can't wait for you to hear it.

March 2005

Lotsa good news but a little bad news first. Paul is leaving the band and will be gone by May. He is moving away to pursue his dreams and we wish him the best of luck. The good news is that the Airfield's Ian Jackson has joined on guitar and will be appearing onstage with us shortly.

Also, this month has brought some special shows to us and it is an exciting time - playing with the Zoobombs, playing a tribute to one of our favourite bands (also marking our band's first anniversary) being a part of Davy Love's Final Blowup celebration ending 10 years of swingin' Saturday nights, and last but not least we embark on our first mini-tour of Ontario at the end of the month, kicking it off with Ottawa's The Department of Foreign Affairs and local jumpstarts Foxes at our favourite venue, Sneaky Dee's.

In the midst of all this spring fever, the recording of our debut album is nearing completion. See you at the shows or on the road!
