Finally. The rants section. I do believe this is what makes this site different from every other that I have created. I guess the files section is a bit better on this site. Right at the top of my shit list is Yahoo!. When they took over Gecities, all of us Geocities members were forced to sign another contract. It was very long, but I tried my best to stick with it and read through it all. A couple things stood out. We were deprived of ownership of our sites. Gone. Everything uploaded to Yahoo! space was theirs. Theirs to call their own, theirs to copyright, theirs to duplicate, and worst of all, theirs to sell. I don't believe in putting my ass on the line for very many things, but freedom is what the internet is all about. I appreciate phreak.co.uk for giving me the opportunity to be judged by them, and, possibly, to be hosted by them. For free. I recently started using NetZero, the 'free' ISP. They stream ads over your 'free' bandwidth and take up considerable space in doing so. I looked around on the internet, and found a free solution. Move a Dynamic Link Library(DLL) file, and no ads. Download a window modifier, and no NetZero windows. Free bandwidth. That's what this whole internet thing is about, isn't it? Think about that before you go and try to capitalize of of normal people. Go and capitalize off of Yahoo! instead. Have phun. Be safe. -Lode
