dear curious cat,
Lets look at your question as a two parter....1)why is the grass greener on the other side? This commonly used phrase actually comes from a scientific fact. Grass in its normal state, lies slightly on its side. When you are standing on a patch of grass...you are generally looking down onto it. Its a little like looking down the blade of a knife, you only see the edge..and thats it. However, if you look at the same patch of grass, or knife...from an angle (further away)...you are more likely to see the full blade...thus getting more green for your dollar! This is why a knife always looks greener when you stand on grass.
the second part of your question is easy to answer...2)Hang....what and where is the other side? The other side is anywhere other than where you are right now...unless of course you move...then the other side could be the original place where you were standing...and the place where you are standing now, but werent before, would then be the place other than the other side...thus being here...which is very strange because i dont see you.
thank you for your time
