The following statement was agreed;

The Senior committees that make real decisions about the future of Stonehenge have no acknowledged and effective representatives from the Spiritual and faith communities involved with Stonehenge, and the plans as presently published do not address the way in which their needs are to be met. We will write to these bodies. A plan for open access at Summer Solstice 2000 was discussed and supported by the meeting.

The TRC concluded that the role of Spiritual and Faith communities in future planning for the management of Stonehenge is especially vital given that the whole structure is itself a Temple originally built for religious use.

We are willing to serve as a Forum for open and informed debate by all interested spiritual and religious parties in this dimension of Stonehenge.

We feel that too much emphasis is being placed on the commercial and economic of Stonehenge as a potential income earner for English Heritage and other interested parties behind the proposed new visitor centre.

We insist that the voice of the religious and spiritual communities interested in the role of Stonehenge as a working temple must be heard, respected, encouraged, listened to, and acted on.
